Animal Control
The City of Manchester employs one part-time Animal Control Officer. This officer reports to the Chief of Police. Duties include managing animal issues such as housing and caring for abandoned and roaming domestic pets, animal neglect, as well as investigating bites and wildlife encounters within the Manchester city limits.
For animal control services, to report neglect and/or cruelty, or if you need to report a stray dog or cat please contact the Manchester Police Department at 563-927-3355. The animal shelter is located at 424 S 3rd Street.
