Located at Baum Park in Manchester, IA, the Freedom is not Free Memorial is a testimonial honoring the courage, service and bravery of our service men and women in our community and across the nation.
The Freedom is Not Free Memorial commemorates each branch of the armed services with five monuments that rise up to complement two granite walls inscribed with the names of veterans from the surrounding community, the state, and the nation. Stone benches situated atop a paver plaza, each facing a memorial wall honoring our veterans, create a sanctuary for gratitude and quiet reflection.
