Land Use & Development Permits

Property and Land Use Development encompasses proposed changes in existing uses as well as future uses within the City of Manchester and surrounding rural areas. An Application for Subdivision Plat Review must be filed for any tract or parcel of land subdivided, or hereafter subdivided or platted said tract or parcel, into three or more parts for the purpose of laying out an addition, subdivision, building lot or lots, acreage or suburban lots within the City, or within two miles from the corporate limits of the City. Lots may not be sold and plats may not be recorded until the application has been filed and approved by the Manchester City Council.

Building permits may not be issued for construction until a final plat of the subdivision has been approved, utilities required (water/gas/electricity/waste water/storm water) have been accepted, and plat is recorded.

Applications for property and land use development or amendments should be submitted to City Manager Timothy J. Vick.
