Electronics & Household Hazardous Waste Clean-Up
The Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency, in partnership with the Delaware County Solid Waste Disposal Commission, will be hosting a mobile collection event for electronics and household hazardous materials on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.

What will be accepted for recycling?
- Computer monitors (CRT & LCD)
- Televisions (CRT, LCD, Projection, Console & Plasma
- Laptops (PC, Mac, Chromebook, Surface)
- Computer Towers
- Computer Peripherals (Keyboard, Mouse, Printer, Scanner, etc)
- Cables, cords, & chargers
- Cell phones
- Blu-Ray/DVD/VHS players
- Stereo Receivers, Speakers, Components & Cables
- Holiday lights
- Small Kitchen appliances (Mixers, Coffee Makers, Toasters, etc)
Household Hazardous Materials
What will be acceptable?
- Household cleaners include toilet bowl, oven, rug/carpet, drain and ammonia-based cleaners
- Weed & feed fertilizers
- Herbicides such as Round-up and 2-4-D
- Pesticides such as roach and ant sprays, mole killer, mouse poisons, and flying insect sprays
- Other common lawn and garden products
- Brake and transmission fluids
- Carburetor and engine cleaners
- Oil Base waxes and polishes
- Oil based paints, stains, and varnishes
- Paint removers, thinners such as alcohol or acetone,
- Wiping oils such as Tung Oil
- Used motor oil, oil filters, or antifreeze
- Rechargeable Batteries
- Compact Fluorescent Lights and Fluorescent Tubes
- Water based, latex paints - if the label calls for a water cleanup it is a latex product and can be dried out and placed in the trash
